Hello! I am the Student Services Coordinator for University of Wollongong and Macquarie University. I grew up in a town just north of Boston and graduated from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications/Public Relations. During my undergraduate degree I studied abroad at the University of Wollongong for a semester and it was easily the best semester of my four years in college! I then moved back to Wollongong in 2008 to complete a double Masters degree in Commerce and Strategic Marketing. I am very passionate about travelling and experiencing new cultures. I especially love the Australia culture and climate, which is why I have decided to call this country home now! Outside of the office I love taking pictures (I love analogue photography!), trolling through galleries and museums, op shopping, going to gigs, and trying new cafes! Living in another country is the most amazing experience and really opens your eyes up to the world. I look forward to meeting you!

You are at the beginning of an incredible journey on which you will visit extraordinary places, experience new cultures and learn so much about yourself. Each of these experiences has been eye opening, life enriching and super fun! I am so excited to support you on your own amazing adventure.
During your time in Melbourne I will be here for anything you need. New challenges come with every worthwhile experience and I am here to help you tackle these and support you in any way I can. Never hesitate to contact me about anything, even if you just need a coffee and a sympathetic ear. There will also be events throughout the semester which are designed to help you get to know each other and get to know Melbourne, the world’s most liveable city and the cultural capital of Australia!
You are going to have a fantastic time here; I’ll see you soon!

Hi everyone, my name is Gillian and I am the Student Services Coordinator for the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University. I moved to Perth from South Africa about six years ago, and have been studying at the University of Western Australia for the last few years. As much as a loved South Africa growing up, I feel incredibly privileged to call Australia my home. I recently completed a Bachelor of Arts with majors in English Literature and Psychology and am currently completing postgraduate studies in Secondary Education. I understand the challenges accompanying student-life and will be happy to share my advice with you. Adjusting to a new place can be difficult, but not if you have the right social support and the motivation to embrace the differences. That is why I am here—to help you adjust and enjoy your stay in Perth.

University of Western Australia and Murdoch University Offices
Hello, I am the Student Services Coordinator for the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University. I come from Latvia, a small country in Eastern Europe, but I have spent last 10 years studying, working, and living abroad. Early 2014 I came to Perth for an exchange program, and I was charmed by the beautiful city and breathtaking nature of Western Australia. Currently, I am a PhD student in management and organizational behaviour at UWA. I enjoy the ocean and sunny weather, so during the hot summer days you will definitely find me at one of the amazing Perth’s beaches. I love exploring Perth and WA for events, experience, and most importantly, food.
